She was the Little Match Girl

«Little Match Girl Passion» Brilliant play I got to see at Traverse Theatre last night.

Began with a Cellist creating a looped piece with interesting accompanying visuals.

Continued with the story of Andersen’s Little Match Girl. Amazing looping, harmonising, playful operatic voices doing something that seemed like a round, but I have no idea what it was. Really just made me wonder how they went about choreographing their voices in that composition. And all accompanied by my friend’s flatmate dancing/moving on a stage in the background. Like two plays at once, telling the same story but with different tones and from different perspectives. Gorgeous.
