Had a wee evening out with some lovely VN colleagues last night. Intriguing food, good banter; all Tet-talk, boy-talk, food-talk.
Three venues, all very different.

- Perfect hangover breakfast food
- Decadent coffee-frappucino-ness
A big favourite, you need to suck one end a bit, then suck the other end and out comes..
..a long, green mucus-like animal. I actually put it in my mouth. So gross. Awesome sauce though.

Scallops in lemon grass
I’m sure this was conch. Who knows though really.
Different kind of scallops with peanuts, scallion.. etc
This tasted like French toast, scrambled eggs and maple syrup. (Actually just rice flour/water fried, with eggs, and a light sweet-ish soy sauce for dipping.)
I can see why the Vietnamese go home so early and don’t necessarily go out drinking all the time – what are you meant to do with your bike??? Gotta drive everywhere, so lots of drinking isn’t really conducive to.. being alive.
